Toyota 4Runner Capabilities
The 2020 Toyota 4Runner is an adventurous rugged SUV that allows you to pull up to the valet with style and sophistication, while tackling off-road challenges with confidence. From its useful features to thoughtful capabilities, the 4Runner brings a bit of everything to the table. To test drive this capable SUV and discover the facets and features of what it beholds, come in to Rountree Moore Toyota today.
Outside, the Toyota 4Runner takes on a coat of geometric proportions to create a rugged, yet sophisticated exterior. Up front, the grille looks like it was cut from an octagon while it proudly displays the Toyota crest along with stretched honeycomb mesh while trapezoid inspired headlights light the way. At the rear, angular, almost futuristic taillights add a flare of attitude to the SUV while wheel options range from 17 to 20-inches.
Rugged SUV with a Premium Accent
Though rugged and capable, the inside of the 4Runner welcomes you with comfortable thoughtful amenities. All 4Runner models come standard with a driver’s 8-way power-adjustable seat with adjustable lumbar support. 4-way power front passenger seats come standard on Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium models. Jump to the Limited model and heated and ventilated front seats plus driver’s seat memory, so your favorite seating position is only the push of a button away. Adding refinement to its rugged nature, available perforated leather seats bring a premium ambiance to the cabin while an available power tilt/sliding moonroof lets light and fresh air flow in. Whether its the large and easy to read gauges, or the easy buttons and controls, the cabin of the 4Runner has been well-thought-out so that you spend more time on the road, and less time searching for the control you need.
Heavy Duty Performance
All 2020 4Runners are powered by the same heavy-duty engine: a 4.0L Dual Overhead Cam V6 engine that uses Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence to produce 270hp and 278lb-ft of torque. Mated to an electronically controlled 5 speed automatic transmission, the 4Runner returns up to an EPA-estimated 21MPG on the highway.
Taking capability and abilities to new levels, the 4Runner features two available 4WD systems: a part-time 4WD system and a full-time 4WD system that utilizes a Torsen limited-slip center differential with locking feature. Ensuring you conquer the road no matter the terrain is Multi-Terrain Select with CRAWL control. Featuring four driver-selectable drive modes, the system helps reduce wheel spin to keep you moving forward–a vital offroad principle. Crawl-control brings a high-tech touch to the offroad trails by modulating the throttle and brakes in one of five low-speed settings, so your attention can remain on your path. The electronically controlled rear-locking differential ensures that power is evenly distributed between both wheels, even if one is off the ground. The result is predictable power that allows you to precisely navigate over obstacles with definite control.
An 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen infotainment system, standard on all 4Runner models, brings a world of convenience, connection, and capability. Standard capabilities like Apple Carplay® allows you to effortlessly sync our phone to your Toyota, bringing directions, calls, text messages, playlists and more, all in the same familiar interface as your smart device. Adding the convenience of a virtual assistant, the Toyota+Amazon Alexa app gives you the ability to ask Alexa to play music, control devices at home, find parking, and so much more. Andriod Auto™ allows Andriod users to sync their smartphone, while an available 15-speaker JBL® System brings clear, crisp sound so you can jam to your favorite tunes. Not forgetting the passengers in the back, the cabin also features rear-USB ports so everyone can keep their devices powered.
4Runner Safety Features
Complete with a suite of driver-assist safety features highlighted in the 4Runner’s standard Toyota Safety Sense, the 4Runner is just as safe as it is capable. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is just one of the many features included in the suite. The feature acts as an advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, using radar to slow down and pace the vehicle ahead of you. When the vehicle clears your path, the 4Runner will resume your preset speed. Automatic High Beams are just one more of the many features highlighted in the safety suite. This helpful feature increases visibility by automatically turning on the high beams in dark conditions, and turning them off when approaching other vehicles.
